A fairy tale animated by fairies, gnomes, and kobolds. It is the opera La donna serpente by Alfredo Casella, based on the libretto by Cesare Lodovici after Carlo Gozzi’s play of the same name, the new title staged at the Teatro Regio in 2016 which will enrich the cycle #Operaonthesofa this afternoon at 5:25PM on Rai5. Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio are led by Gianandrea Noseda, while the stage direction is by Arturo Cirillo. The scenes are curated by Dario Gessati, the costumes by Gianluca Falaschi, the light design by Giuseppe Calabrò and the choreography by Riccardo Olivier. Lead interpreters are Carmela Remigio, Piero Pretti, Erika Grimaldi, Francesca Sassu, Sebastian Catana, Anna Maria Chiuri, Francesco Marsiglia, Marco Filippo Romano, Roberto de Candia.
