Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Dmitrij Šostakovič

Like two sides of the same coin, the enthusiasm of Mozart’s very first symphony and of one of his famous Violin Concertos (with “something Turkish” in the finale) is transformed into the dramatic symphonic meditation of Shostakovich, dedicated “to the victims of fascism and war”.
