Brundibár
Brundibár is a fairy tale with a happy ending, fragile and delicate like the lives of those children exterminated in Nazi concentration camps along with millions of other innocents — including its composer, Hans Krása, who died in Auschwitz in 1944. Two little siblings, Aninka and Pepíček, are searching for food for their sick mother; they will encounter indifference and cruelty, but also solidarity and affection, the only weapons capable of giving them the courage to defeat evil.
