At the meeting, hosted by journalist Susanna Franchi, Musical Director Andrea Battistoni and associate director Paolo Giani Cei will take part.

On this occasion, the Polo Culturale di Marengo, in partnership with the Union of European Journalists and Communicators, will present M° Battistoni and Stefano Poda with the Medaglia di Marengo and a reproduction of a period print depicting the historic battle. The award is conferred upon the two artists as representative figures of Puccini’s Tosca, highlighting the deep connection between Napoleon’s victory on 14 June 1800 and the opera’s libretto written by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa.
