Iridescent

Ariane Matiakh

An immersion into a shimmering sonic universe, where music becomes light and movement: conductor Ariane Matiakh debuts at the Teatro Regio leading the Filarmonica TRT with a program that explores the infinite refractions of the French twentieth century. The journey begins with the contemplative nature of Au loin by Charles Koechlin, a refined piece that evokes inner horizons and distant spaces. The path then ignites with the vitality of myth in Albert Roussel, whose Suite from Bacchus et Ariane releases brilliant rhythmic energy, before returning to the introspective delicacy of symbolist drama in the Suite from Pelléas et Mélisande by Gabriel Fauré. In closing, the overwhelming vertigo of La Valse by Maurice Ravel: a musical vision where the elegance of the waltz is transformed into an unstable and magnetic sonic mechanism.
