Ballet Nacional de Cuba

The Cuba Ballet Nacional, the company of the “divine” Alonso, brings to the stage two great ballets

Teatro Regio, 20th December – 17th December 2014, at 20:00

In December, the Teatro Regio hosts the best international Dance Company: the National Ballet of Cuba - for the first time at the Regio - presenting Giselle with music by Adolphe Adam from 10th - 14th December, and Don Quixote with music by Ludwig Minkus from 17th - 21st December. The choreographies are by Alicia Alonso.

Please note that the first performance of Giselle, combined with the “Series A” will be held on Wednesday, 10th December at 20:00 instead of Thursday, 11th December.

Here are some reasons why this event cannot be missed: Alicia Alonso is the “Etoile” or “La Primera Bailarina absoluta” and the diva of world dance and her company, which is a perfect blend of rigorous technique and virtuosity combined with joy and the Caribbean sensuality, presents these two titles: Giselle, a masterpiece of romantic ballet, and Don Quixote a classic that has been performed by the greatest dancers.
