Pure enchantment with the Ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre from St. Petersburg and the masterpiece of Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovski

Teatro Regio, Wednesday, 13th December 2017

December, as part of our tradition, is the month that the Teatro Regio dedicates to the dance. After The Nutcracker, in the splendid version of Amodio and Luzzati, it is now the time of the Ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre from St. Petersburg interpreting the ‘Classical of Classics’: Swan Lake with the choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with music by Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij performed by the Orchestra of the Regio directed by the master Gavriel Heine for eight performances from 13th to 19th December.

This production is supported by Leonardo, Partner of the Teatro Regio. The company, a leader in state-of-the-art technology and a partner of the Regio for several years, strongly believes in its role as an active company in the territory where it operates. Leonardo's attention to the needs of the modern reality is expressed not only through the sharing of its technological know-how, but also through the promotion of initiatives aimed at bringing prosperity to the community, contributing thus to a social progress in which culture, including music, carries one distinguishing feature.

This ballet, a Christmas classic, is in theme with the series of Christmas events that will take place in our city in the following days, and Iren’s contribution to its realization is part of the celebration for the 110th anniversary of AEM’s birth».
