New recordings for Regio

What happens

During the month of July Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Regio will be engaged in two important disc recordings under the conduction of Gianandrea Noseda.

The first one, for Chandos label, is part of the three-year recording project dedicated to symphonic italian music of the 20th century, in collaboration with Casa Musicale Ricordi, Chandos Records and BBC Philharmonic of Manchester and includes the performance of pieces by Goffredo Petrassi Salmo IX in 2 parts for chorus, string orchestra, brass, percussion and two pianos and the Magnificat for light soprano, chorus and orchestra, solo the soprano Sabina Cvilak.

The second one will be realized for Deutsche Grammophon label and features one of the most beautiful voices of the world, Anna Netrebko, who will sing arias from some of the most renowned Giuseppe Verdi's operas, such as Il trovatore, Macbeth, I Vespri siciliani, Don Carlo, Giovanna d'Arco, Otello and La forza del destino.
