As a confirmation of an international reputation, more and more solid and recognised, the Teatro Regio was invited to the “White Nights Festival” in St. Petersburg on 9th July, the date on which Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio in the Requiem Mass by Verdi. The Teatro Regio will be the main protagonist of yet another important event taking place on 10th July in the courtyard of the Hermitage Museum on the occasion of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the founding of this prestigious and renowned Museum. This concert comes to seal the touring year between Italy and Russia, a sign of pluriannual mutual collaboration between the cultural institutions of Turin and the Hermitage Museum which began in 2013 with the exhibition of the collection Basilewsky and that will continue in 2015 with the exhibition in Turin of “The treasures of the Hermitage” as well as new collaborations with the Mao Museum and the Art Gallery GAM. In the spirit of culture exchange and promotion initiated by the City of Turin and the City of St. Petersburg, the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, will offer on 10th July in the courtyard of the Hermitage a Verdi Gala with orchestral pieces and choruses from operas by Verdi: from Il Trovatore to Macbeth, from Vespri Siciliani to La forza del destino and Aida.
