The Cenerentola by Rossini that this comic melodrama is based on is called Angelina. The classic story that everyone knows does not change, but instead of the magic coach the fairy godmother gives some sound advice: follow the heart, not ostentation. The Theatre project is by the Associazione Baretti, with dramaturgical adaptation and direction by Roberta Cortese. Musical arrangement is by Carlo Pavese, who conducts the Laboratorio Ensemble and the Children’s chorus of the Teatro Regio and the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Torino, taught by Claudio Marino Moretti. Despite the mockery of her stepmother and stepsisters, Cinderella also wants to share her wedding day with her ungrateful family. This fairy tale with a happy ending is for the entire family, where the true protagonist is a kind heart, in all its nuances.
