Moscovia Chamber Orchestra

Hour 7:00 pm

The tendency to cross borders between musical genres by proposing pieces in concert that are also taken from “light” repertoires is customary practice today. The Moscow Chamber Orchestra programme ranges from Tchaikovsky – a “classic” who has always been particularly welcome even by the general public – to Johann Strauss Jr. – a composer of light music who has always enjoyed the favour and prestige reserved for the great classics, to Glenn Miller – who synthesized the styles of commercial music and the creative vitality of jazz: three composers who show us how exceptional music transcends genre.
