Carmina Burana by Carl Orff

Based on some 13th century poems written by young students in a German monastery, the Carmina Burana, or Songs of Beuern, celebrate wine, erotic love, fine food and are tied by the leitmotif of time inevitably passing; a rich musical score with vigorous rhythms. The interpretation is entrusted to the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio, the Children’s Chorus of the Regio and the “G. Verdi” Conservatory and soloists Silvia Colombini, Otokar Klein and Ales Jenis.
On the podium will be the Moravian conductor Tomas Netopil, while the choruses will be directed by Maestro Claudio Fenoglio.
