B for Bang – Across the Universe of Languages

Hour 9:30 pm

Icons of the 20th century, the Beatles are revisited here through a renewed rapport between music and images that goes beyond a simple tribute. With Katia Labèque, an unconventional pianist from a classical background to whom Miles Davis dedicated two songs, are David Chalmin, alternative rocker, and Nicola Tescari and Massimo Pupillo, contemporary composers, presenting arrangements of some of the Fab Four’s songs included in new compositions that go to the edge of improvisation. Of note is the exceptional presence of Meg’s vocals and the visual direction of Fabio Massimo Iaquone, in addition to Massimo Pupillo, bass, Marque Gilmore, drums and Fabio Recchia, electronics.
